#3 This is Maurice. I met Maurice it the hotel lobby in Newcastle, England. We instantly started telling stories. He was about to jump on a train and head home from a wedding in Newcastle. I loved his smile and the way he was dressed. I asked him if we could have a photo contest with him. He smiled and said, “Yes.” PLEASE VOTE ON YOUR FAVORITE PHOTO. a page form my Sketchbook

A page from my sketchbook. I am not a car guy at all, but I like drawing cars, and car like things, for some reason. An Ape Vespa from London.

Casey Neistat's Soda Video

Casey Neistat has a new New York Times Video about a big soda ban in NYC. I don't know if banning big sodas is the answer, but it a cool video about how much sugar these big drinks have, not good. Enjoy the video here. If you can't tell, I am one of Casey's biggest fans. (photo: stolen from his FB page)

A Good Weekend

A good weekend: soccer, fixing bikes, riding bikes and I filmed some sailing for my fleet video. Life is good in Midway. We have been here about 2 years and I still feel like I am on vacation. PHOTOS: I repacked the bearing for my kid's bike, I have not done that since I was a kid with my dad. That bike was on it's way out, now it is cruising. Screen grab of Two J22's that belong to my Fleet, Park City Sailing Association.

Meet the Superhumans

Meet the Superhumans from STITCH on Vimeo.

I saw this AD a hundred time when I was in the UK. It is brilliant and powerful, and a great use of a "Public Enemy" song. The games wrap up this Sunday and it is a crying shame that USA TV has not backed their athletes the way UK have. Channel 4 in the UK was broadcasting the Paralympics all day for the entire games, the US will broadcast about 5 hours for the whole games. Here is a great article about the US's coverage of the games.

Thoughts about Kids

The thing on my mind more than anything right now is BALANCE. My documentary filmmaking and my family and everything else. Have a good weekend.
